Murad Code Competency Framework & Asssesment Tools

The Murad Code recognises the responsibility of organisations to ensure the minimum standards in the Code are upheld.

Principle 7.1 Institutional responsibilities and support: We recognise that we do not do this work alone.  Most of us work in or for organisations. In organisations, we will implement this Code through leadership and commitment, policies, processes and resourcing, including in relation to consultants.

The Murd Code Audit Tool has been designed to assist organisations which have decided to integrate the principles of the Code into their work. It can help support organisations to review, discuss and reflect upon their current approach, and to document and discuss the findings in more detail to consider changes that might be helpful. It can also assist funders and partner organisations to identify and support development of capacity within organisations which gather or use SCRSV information in their work.

The Audit Tool is available only in English at present, and in Excel and PDF fillable form formats. Users are encouraged to use the tool in a flexible way, and to adapt it to specific types of organisations (for ones with less formal structures and systems) and contexts - so long as the minimum standards in the Code are upheld.

The Murad Code project hopes that different types of organisations in different sectors and contexts will use this pilot audit tool and provide feedback to help improve its usability and value. Feedback can be sent to info@muradcode.com
